The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning is in the process of it's Digital 1st
Transformation Project, set to be wrapped up towards the end of June 2018. In this session
Catherine will detail important step in the process of a successful transformation:
 Redefining the role and position of the department before embarking on the transformation:
defining the customer, the community and the stakeholder so that all involved are on 'the same
page'
 Training and support required for staff to enhance their digital capabilities
 Leveraging digital to improve the way the department communicates within itself and with
citizens and stakeholders
